I've been back from Maine for a week now. I miss those guys but I dont miss their cold weather.
My 3 hour layover in Philly turned into 5 hours. Instead of getting in to Las Vegas at 10:40pm I got in at 1:20am,so by the time we got back to St. George it was 4:00am. Long trip.
It has been nice and warm spring weather here.

Chinese Buffet Lunch

Eric took us all out for Chinese Buffet Lunch before we headed for the airport. It was yummie.

We saw some really beautiful country on our little drive. Although it was sunny, it was still cold and there was a breeze that goes right through your bones. Before we left I went to Walmart and got some snowboots on sale for $6 bucks, pink and black with fur lining, quite stylish. I just love a bargain.
We had a great day, ate lunch at a really nice little restaurant and spent some quality time together.
After we went to the bridges we went to Augusta and shopped at Pier One. Tina still had some gift certificates from her wedding.

We passed this waterfall on the way to Augusta, can't remember what the name of the town is. But it looked really cool too .

Bbrrrrrr.......

Tina and I went for a drive yesterday to visit some of Maine's covered bridges. On the way there we passed this. Now people does that not look cold?

Although it was a very nice sunny day it was still cold and when that breeze kicks up.......oh mama! Anyway I thought this looked very interesting

TGI FRIDAY'S

Zaq and I went to TGI Fridays for his birthday lunch. Of course we had to embarrass him with the birthday song. He was quite red faced.

Even Gracie bundled up for this one. She usually doesn't like to wear a jacket. But Gracie and I stood around the other side of the building where it was blocking the wind and waited for out ice cream.

Ice Cream in a blizzard!

Look at these crazy kids, 20 degrees, a blizzard and they are in shorts and t-shirts!! Let me tell you, as soon as they got there ice cream the made a b-line for the car. Eric was kind enough to keep the car running with the heater on.

We went for pizza Thursday afternoon after school, Tina had a tax apt. so the kids and I had pizza while we were waiting for her.

Maine

I flew to Maine on Wednesday, got here Thursday morning early. Those "red eye flights" are a killer! But I managed to survive.
The weather was supposed to be good for the week but apparently the five day forecast doesn't mean a thing out here. By Thursday afternoon it got progressively colder and by Friday afternoon it started snowing, down to 20 degreess and with the windchill factor it felt like 5 degrees! Ok people it is blooming cold out here!!
It is now saturday morning and I think there is at least 8" of snow on the ground!
Today is Zaq's 13th birthday but we celebrated it last night. He had a couple of friends over and we had pizza and then..........went to the ice cream store........ in the blizzard!!!! and had ice cream!!
The boys thought it would be funny if they went in shorts and t-shirts and they did!! Crazy kids! While we were there at the ice cream store, someone called the local news paper about them and they sent a photographer out there to take pictures of them. So I think they are going to be local celebreties.

I was watching David yesterday and as I was getting ready for the day putting my makeup on in the morning........ David walked in the bathroom and says: "what are you doing grandma?" I said: "I'm fixing my face" so he says: " you broke it?"
I loughed so hard..... kids are so funny aren't they?

I finished this layout tonight and it only took me one and a half hours! That has got to be one of the quickest layouts I've done!

I got these about 2 weeks ago and they were still under the rim. Within 2 weeks they grew this much and already have flowers.

Snow in St. George

We had snow yesterday. Look at the big flakes of snow and it actually stuck. Of course as soon as it stopped snowing it all melted very quickly.
It looked pretty while it lasted though.
